NAIL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

Description

The Nail technician program is designed to train the student in the basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, manicures, pedicures, sculpting, nail art, silk and fiberglass wraps, business development, retail training, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain licensing and for competency in job entry-level positions as Manicurist or Nail Technician or a related career field.

Program Length 150 Hours

Part Time Sessions mornings and evenings 2-3 times a week

Objectives

Upon completion of the course requirements, the determined graduate will be able to:

Project a positive attitude and a sense of personal integrity and self-confidence.

Project professionalism, visual poise and proper grooming.

Communicate effectively and interact appropriately with colleagues, supervisors and clients.

Respect the need to deliver worthy service for value received in an employment environment.

Perform basic manipulative skills in the areas of nail technology such as manicures and pedicures.

Perform the basic analytical skills to advise clients about their nail and desired look.

Apply academic learning, technical information and related matter to assure sound judgments, decisions, and procedures.

To ensure continued career success, the graduate will continue to learn new and current information related to skills, trends, and methods for career development in Nail Technology and related fields.

This program is accredited by NACCAS but it is not available for Title IV financial aid due to number of hours.

All prospective students of Nail Boss Academy are invited to visit the school and arrange for a personal tour and counseling session prior to enrollment. A catalog detailing all aspects of the school will be furnished to each student (hard copy or electronic), including schedule of tuition and fees, methods of payment, Licensure Requirements, Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy and more. Student will complete an Application for Admission and submit it along with a $25 non-refundable Application fee to be considered for enrollment. An Enrollment Agreement is required for each student registering for a program, and must be signed at the time of registration. The student must agree to comply with the tuition payment schedule documented on their contract. The fees paid for books, kit and supplies (when applicable, as noted in the individual program outlines) are non-refundable once issued to student, as they become the property of the student.

Acceptance of transfer hours is at the discretion of the school. The school does not recruit students already attending or admitted to another school offering similar programs of study. Nail Boss Academy does not offer a Comprehensive Transition Post secondary Program. The school complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 and is wheelchair accessible. Students may not be accepted for enrollment if they cannot prove credit worthiness (Please see Method and Terms of Payment below). Providing false information for the purpose of gaining admission or access to financial assistance is a violation of law and could result in criminal prosecution as well as denial of admission or termination from school.
