GENERAL INFORMATION

Nail Boss Academy of Nail Technology is a private educational institution, which provides vocational education in the study of the practical and theoretical components of nail technology. The Commonwealth of Virginia and Department of Professional Occupation and Regulation (DPOR) have approved all programs provided.

The Academy operates throughout the year Monday through Wednesday, offering the following schedules for the course. 

DAY CLASSES                     EVENING CLASSES

Mon-Tues 10:30am-1:30pm     Mon-Tue 4:00pm-7:00pm

                   Wednesdays/Saturdays 10-4 for practical assignments

Please note all National Holidays are observed, and scheduled closings will be indicated in the course syllabus.

The Academy requires all students to wear clothing suitable to perform various salon  services; i.e. slacks, jeans, non-restricting shirts/blouses, and protective aprons (provided). Shoes must be non-slip and professional. 

In order to receive a certificate of course completion and be eligible to take the State Board Exam, a student of Nail Boss Academy must complete 150 hours of instruction. This may be accomplished within 10 weeks to include blended online instruction as well. The total cost of the nail technology Course is $2000.   This includes application and registration fee, student workbook, all nail enhancement supplies/tools to complete practicums, hand mannequin and cost of tuition. Students may pay tuition in full, or, be capable to make a down payment of $1,000.00 to cover half of tuition cost. The remaining tuition amount will be divided into four bi-weekly payments of $250.00 each. The Academy currently does not accept private or public funding (Pell grants, student loans, or GI Bills).
